集信軟件科技有限公司早前聯同香港城市大學商學部進行了一項有關港商對企業資源規劃系統〔ERP〕的應用展開調查。調查發現，僅20%本港中小企採用，情況遠比外國落後，而受訪企業仍未採用ERP系統的主要原因是企業管理層抗拒改變、產品價格及本港缺乏有關資訊科技專才。該報告亦指出，90%以上導入ERP企業應用系統後，在資訊即時性、統籌能力等方面均有大幅提昇，約50%發現公司的反應能力及存貨週轉率有明顯改善，16%表示營業額有所增加。此外，96%受訪企業均認為中港廠商使用ERP將會日趨普遍，而60%企業在未來半年將會增聘更多資訊科技專才，亦有75%企業會特別歡迎有ERP系統知識的學生。
